PROGRESS UPDATE OF FINAL YEAR PROJECT

During week 4, I've drafting the problem statement and objective for the project. Some of the objective have been changed due to the comment and feedback I've gained from supervisor OBJECTIVES 1) To provide better security via using fingerprints on ATMM machines. 2) To develop a Smart Security System that acts as a bank's panic button. 3) To propose a solution regarding the problems of ATM cards being stolen, lost, and error of key-in wrong Personal Identification Number (PIN). PROBLEM STATEMENT 1) Reduce the number of constraints since user can use fingerprints for withdraw money. For example, user are not required to carry ATM card in their wallets and do not fear of losing it. 2) Cases of being rob at ATM are increasing and the victim is helpless and must comply with the criminal's demands. 3) ATM card always being stolen, lost and error of key-in wrong Personal Identification Number (PIN). -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    During this week, I've gathered all information regarding the "Biometric ATM Machine With Smart Security System" since my project would be based on that concept. My supervisor Sir Saharuddin helped me a lot with the problem statement of my project. I've learned a lot during the research. He stated that   our FYP's title must reflect our project. In addition,  before we decided on the title, we must draft starting from the objective, problem statement, costing, and the layout of how we want the project to be.          After doing all the research and reading, my final title for my FYP is "Development of Biometric ATM Machine With Smart Security System". By following my supervisor's advice, this project is to provide better security by applying fingerprints on ATMs. Every human being has a different and unique biometric it is impossible to have a same fingerprint as another person. As week 2 are going on, I've decided on Sir Saharuddin bin Othman as my supervisor after seeking for one. We talk about the project that would be appropriate to work based on the list of my titles.   I continued to improve my title list by conducting research and reading. Ten different titles are included in my list as a whole. However, the titles I've chosen to discuss with my supervisor the most are:   Smart Alternate Solar Panel, Contactless IoT Doorbell & Security System, Farming Monitoring With IoT,  Biometric ATM Machine With Smart Security System . 12/10/2022   I have my first workshop regarding the proposal of FYP. The workshop is about the briefing on how the flow of FYP 1 for Semester 2, Sept 2022 will be, A FYP timetable is given and students are required to follow the guideline. Additionally, a reminder that the closing date for title registration is October 21, 2022 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On week 1, students are required to find a lecturer that is available to become a supervisor for Final Year Project (FYP). Having a supervisor is an important element for students that take FYP subjects as the supervisor will guide, advise, and monitor the students throughout the FYP journey. Aside from that, students are also required to start searching for their FYP's title as the title registration is also open from this week 1 until week 3 ________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________ Conclusion:  I've also started to search for titles and came out with a bunch of lists of the interesting project that grab my attention and I'm planning to search for my supervisor to seek for advice regarding my project's list that I've found.
